Today’s Micro Stakes Poker lesson

Enjoy your exciting session in poker because they are few and far between.  This session was action packed.  At the end of this post I provided most of the exciting hands from the session.  There were many all-in hands.  I actually feel with all the winning I did I didn’t actually run that great.  There were still several sucks outs from wild players.

In the video below it’s starts at the wildest hand of the night.  Please click and watch.  I’m dealt pocket AA and we get it all-in in a three way pot.  Exactly the kind of hand AA would want.

As you can see I get sucked out by a player who calls my all in with nothing less that four three. It only makes sense for them to win right?  I don’t get discouraged by the hand at all and I keep hammering away at my opponents that night.

It’s not all bad though. Check out the 10 9 hand starting at 49:47.  I flop trip 9’s and my opponent pushes all-in.  I was left with no other option than to call and luckily for me he had nine seven to my ten nine and I win his full stack.

It felt light all night I was getting dealt premium hands.  It was a continuous stream much like the flow from the great lakes of Canada.

There is one more hand I want to show you that specifies how my night ran. At 36:24 in the video, I was holding 77 and raised it pre-flop.  The flop came 88A and so as such I continuation bet.  My opponent called and I turned a 7 giving me a full house.  At this time the pot was just less that a dollar and I wanted to appear weak to induce a bet or bluff so I checked.  My opponent also checked behind which was discouraging.

Since my opponent checked behind I decided to appear crazy and perform a way large over bet to $5.00.  I was unaware that my opponent turned and rivered two cards to make him a straight.  He wasn’t happy just calling my $5.00 bet, he put me all in and I instantly called him.  It must have been a major shock when he realized I had a full boat.  Such is life at Micro Stakes Poker.

Below are the notable hands.  When you click on each it will bring you to the exact correct time in the video.
